Yes, I know I have Glitter on My Face.......

In the flurry of the kids, the husband and everyday life... I find the time to throw on a little glitter and create some works of heart!

Saving the Youth of America...

So last night was my Hostess Club meeting....at the meeting I showed a technique to make your very own Paint Chip strips using the SU Spectrum Pads. I explained to them how the "rage" seems to be stopping at the big hardware stores and snagging some paint chips then stamping them and all that to use on cards and in scrapbook pages. I remember a time when those small strips of wallpaper samples were free, and now they charge for them. I said there will likely come a time when the Depot catches on to us crazy crafters using their "free" paint chips for everything BUT buying their paint and will soon charge us for them..but it will likely happen in our childrens adult hood, and by buying their very own Spectrum Pads they are certainly Saving the Youth of America from being charged for Paint Chips in their adult life!!! All the girls got a great kick out of that and the definately enjoyed learning how to create these beautiful cards.

This one is done using the Cotton Candy SU Spectrum Pad and using a "Direct to Paper" technique (essentially just laying the white cardstock across the top of the ink pad)
And this one was made using our Brayer - You will ink up the brayer with the Cotton Candy SU Spectrum Pad and then "roll" the brayer (rubber attachment) across the cardstock.
Two very different looks but BOTH are fabulous...and we can't forget protecting our Youth!!!

Supplies Used:
Year After Year Stamp Set, Hugs & Wishes Stamp Set, Cotton Candy Spectrum Pad, Brayer, Regal Rose Cardstock, Rose Red Classic Ink Pad, Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon
