New Classes Posted!!!

Hi all -

Of course I'm having computer issues again. Fortunately I had the chance to back things up to my external harddrive before losing it. It's a good thing because tech support had me do a complete wipe on the laptop (setting it back to factory settings as if it were brand new)!!! So needless to say, in the midst of everything else happening I haven't had a chance to transfer all my blog photos back so I can post all the great projects I have waiting!!!

More Asian Flair

This card is yet another fabulous "asian" inspired card made using the Embrace Life stamp set.   I'm pretty sure this is now my favorite stamp set (at least for a little bit right?!).    So this card was made using some hodgepodge hardware too!  See that silver thing with some red in it on the ribbon?  That happens to be a ribbon slide from the Hodgepodge Hardware Styled Silver kit that can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog (page 7).  I colored in the inside of the slide using Crystal Effects and a drop of Rose Red Reinker mixed together.  I used the tip of a toothpick to get it in there without making a huge mess.  Isn't it so cool! 

I also colored on the edge of the White Grosgrain Ribbon using my Rose Red Stampin Write Marker (brush tip side) to give it a little extra "dimension".

Asian Inspiration....

I love cards with asian flair to them.  So it's no wonder that I love the Embrace life stamp set for it's bamboo style stamp.   I made this fabulous card using the chocolate satin ribbon that was sold for a limited time in the Holiday 2007 Mini Catalog, but never fear, even though this is no longer available this way you can still get your hands on this fabulous ribbon by purchasing the Ribbon Originals Theater Ribbon set.    This has to be my all time favorite ribbon that is for SURE!!!! 

The Embrace Life stamp set has become one of my most favorite sets here lately and I guess I am going to have to buy my very own (currently I am borrowing my moms) because I can't imagine life without this!   Be on the lookout for more great cards using this fabulous set!!!

Simple Solution Card with the 5 Petal Punch

This is such a quick and easy card to throw together.  We recently made this card at the Sale A Bration Stamp A Stack class a few weeks ago.   I love this card because there is minimal work involved but it looks great.   Easy even for a brand new stamper!

 

Stamps:  the sample shown does not use one on the outside, but we did utilize the Lots of Thoughts stamp set for this card in class

Happy Anniversary Honey....

Well today is my wedding anniversary. Chad and I've been happily married for 8 years...... no foolin here.....

I wanted to share the card I made for Chad -as well as the beautiful tulips that Chad brought home for me. He also took me to dinner at a Japanese resteraunt he's been wanting to try. I bought him a Homebrewing book he's been wanting as well as an MMA magazine and a stirring stick thing for making homebrewed beer. He was very excited.
