Alleluia.... Alleluia..... Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia....

Lucy has experienced a full recovery!!!!
The lovely young man (I coulda kissed him through the phone...) from Circuit City called this afternoon (just about an hour after I called in with high hopes to see if by chance my new lifeline for Lucy had come in to which the reply was "unfortunately no, but it does show out for delivery here in Pensacola according to UPS") and let me know that my Lucy would be getting back to full health today. I hurriedly sent my husband to CC to pick up Lucy's new lifeline and he brought it home and I promptly hooked Lucy back up to her precious.

Unfortunately Lucy and I couldn't rekindle our relationship of laptop love and internet devotion right away because tonight was my childrens school carnival (the big fundraiser for the year).

So after a few hours outside watching my kids squeal in delight over potato sack racing, bouncy houses, ring toss, cow tippin games and a quick trip to walmart for a few things I've now come home to love on my Lucy.

Alleluia!

Oh and I posted the winner(s) - YUP that means MORE THAN ONE!!!!! too!!! Check it out and contact me if YOU are a lucky winner!!!

And the winner is......or are...

Okay, in light of my sudden rushing of the laptop to the LICU which of course delayed my ability to properly handle the blog candy drawing I have decided to give away not just ONE fabulous package of goodies but TWO!!!!

So with that....

The winners are............................................
CKVD

and

Momsnack

Congrats!!! Email me privately @ stampin4su@bellsouth.net and provide me with your shipping information so I can ship your package out!

For all those that commented but didn't win........ don't be discouraged. More blog candy will be coming soon!!!

Lament for a laptop.....

Oh dear I fear I have lost my best friend........(at least temporarily).....

I hate to inform everyone that my laptop has taken a turn for the worse and is now in the LICU (laptop intensive care unit)..... apparently it's lifeline (also known as the power supply cord) went out and it may take a week or so for me to get a new one in from HP (I have the extended warranty plan so I didn't want to spend $150 to get a new supply cord right then and there inside Circuit city)....

So unfortunately this is going to delay new posting of projects (since all the pics and information is on the laptop which doesn't have a charge in the battery) !!!

I had been saving all the comments in a word document for the Blog Candy drawing, well that is also in limbo being on the laptop, but I'm going to go just look and write down each one and then draw and will do that this evening for you guys!! So be on the lookout!!!

I'm so lost without my bestfriend....Lucy the Laptop.... get your rest now while you can because next week we have a date for an all day websurfing session........

*tear*
PS: I'm posting from my old desktop in my craft room...... if I get the itching to load the software for watermarking and for downloading my photos from my camera onto this desktop, then I might feel frisky enough to retake some of my pictures and then I can continue to load new things to the blog for you guys!!!!!

Falling in for Fall....

This fabulous card just makes me giddy for fall. (notice it's a bit crooked...I blame that on the starbucks LOL.... ah, it's homemade..makes it a Sloman Original right!) anyhoot... the trees (from Lovely As a Tree) is direct stamped on Cork (yup, like as in corkboard) and then matted onto Close to Cocoa cardstock and slapped (crooked I might add) onto the stamped card base. Such a fun card and when using cork as your focal image layer, you don't need any other "embellishments"! This was another project from my Covering Cork class that was held in September.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Wonderful Words
Ink & Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa
Other: Cork
