Yes, I know I have Glitter on My Face.......

In the flurry of the kids, the husband and everyday life... I find the time to throw on a little glitter and create some works of heart!

My Ribbon Keepers

Well I know I discussed it a bit back about how I "altered" my Stampin UP! Ribbon keepers. While I love my DIY Ribbon Pull EZE bag for all my loose ribbons, I just can't get anything better than my Stampin UP! Ribbon Keepers for my spools of ribbon. But I did a little improvement one day when I was wanting to "play" with a brand new Crop A Dile!!! So I whipped out some retired jumbo eyelets I had laying around (if you don't have any of these hearts or flowers that were retired a year or two ago you could use the new Jumbo Circle Eyelets from Stampin UP!) and then proceded to punch a row of holes in the front panel using my Crop A Dile tool and then setting the jumbo eyelets. Now I am able to thread the ribbon through the eyelet hole and it keeps the spools from unwinding at will (especially during transport) plus it keeps them from "jumping" into their buddies spool (do you have that problem when unrolling ribbon??!!! you won't once you do THIS to your ribbon keepers!!!)............ So what do you think???

3/24/2008

So Exciting!

It's official....

You see with Stampin UP! once you reach Senior Supervisor status you are allowed to submit a group name to Stampin UP! for approval. I've been thinking on this for over a year and a half LOL!

I've finally chosen a name that I think is PERFECT for my lovely family of stampers and it was approved just this past week!

So I'd like to OFFICIALLY introduce my Stampin UP! Group name as............................ (insert drumroll here).......................................

INK - STATIC

And if you know me, you know just how ecstatic I get when I receive a new box of Rubber and Ink!

If you have ever thought about joining the Stampin UP! family I'd be happy to help you with any questions on being a Stampin UP! demonstrator!

Acetate Treat Box!

This darling little treat box was made using a piece of acetate (essentially a transparency sheet) cut and scored and then I made a lid for both the bottom and the top out of cardstock. What a great way to provide a small gift for a wedding reception, baby shower, coworker or just whenever a candy treat is called for! I'd love to show you and your friends how to make this!!! Call me today to schedule a workshop and we can make this fabulous little project at your party!

It's like Clockwork...no really it is!

I may not always be the most amazingly creative person on the block... but even I could turn this.....Into THIS!!!!

This is one of my fave things that hangs in my Craft room. I made this clock using Stampin UP! designer Series paper! AMAZING huh!

I used Polka Dots & Paisly printed paper, Rose Red Cardstock, Always Artichoke Cardstock, and Just Delightful Simply Scrappin Kit (now retired) to create this work of heart for my craft room. Oh and I did give it a quick coat of Modge Podge so it wouldn't show *ahem* dust wear LOL! I'm a stamper, not a housecleaner!

Happy BIRTH-day Jackson

A friend and dear customer of mine recently had a wee one..... obviously his name is Jackson. I wanted to give the little guy something "different" as a gift and something that mom would find useful as well. This is what I came up with! Rubber stamping......it's not just for cards anymore.....
First I made this 12x12 Scrapbook page for Mom to use with some sweet photos of Jackson! I used Bashful Blue cardstock along with Old Olive and Whisper White, same with the inks, I used Bashful Blue and Old Olive. I also used Cutie Pie Designer Series Paper, Scallop Punch, Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (Blue), Tag Punch and Circle Punch. The name was stamped with the now retired Headline Alphabet...while this set is retired Stampin UP! still has some fabulous large alphabet stamps that are PERFECT for Scrapbooking!!!!

And then there is this..... a sweet little baby blanket that NOONE can mistake for their own, except sweet little Jackson! For this blanket I just purchased a regular waffle weave swaddling blanket (such as from Gerber etc) and then I used Headline Alphabet with acrylic paint. I also used Wild About You stamp set for the little elephant. Always wash your fabric first and do NOT use fabric softener for that first wash. Stamp using Acrylic paint, fabric paint or Craft Ink - allow to dry then wash inside out with cold water and low heat!

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I hope that Jackson is enjoying his blankie!

A little birdie once told me....that Stampin UP! is THE BEST!

All tied up?

Are your ribbon bits getting you in knots? Check out a great way to put Mr. Crop A Dile to work! Now for all my ribbon that is still on the spool, I store these in my lovely Stampin UP! Ribbon Keepers (LOVE those things...I also did a customization on those using my CAD though..I'll have to share pictures of that soon), but when I get these "bits" leftover they just end up a jumbled mess and then I don't use them as it's too frustrating to "unweave em" LOL!

Yup, that's a little travel bag snagged from Wal-Mart for just a mere $4.00 (it came with small bottles and a spongey for traveling which I happened to need at the time anyhow for a trip I was taking) and I just went hog crazy punching holes all over using the CAD.

Then you put all the ribbon bits inside and pull one end through a hole and leave the rest to lay. VOILA - a do it yourself Ribbon Pull EZ bag!!!!!

Butterflies in the Breeze...

I love spring... I mean I really LOVE spring. The green coming back to the trees, the flowers that pop out overnight, the birds flitting about chirping and chatting with friends.......

Spring is my favorite time of year. Summer, now I hate summer...the mosquitos, the heat, the dreaded days of yardwork, but I'll take as much of Spring as I can get.

I've been wanting to create some fun "spring" colored cards and so I came up with this cutie. This was a card made at my Sweet On You valentine class, but can easily be used any time of year to tell that special someone that you "love em" by just changing the tag element!

Stamps: Mark the Date (small heart), Happy Heart Day

Cardstock & Ink: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Whisper White

Accessories: Small Tag Punch, Tag Corner Punch, Eggplant Grosgrain Ribbion, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Hodgepodge Hardware kit (Pewter - brad)
